Featured Series: The Lords Prayer

Not only here in Columbus Ohio, but all over the world, I am certain different churches are regularly reciting the Lord’s Prayer; sometimes referred to as the “Our Father.”  I myself have been guilty of reciting this prayer by rote much like the pledge of allegiance to the flag.  I am aware of the words that are on my lips but they are really not coming from my heart.  After doing a “deep dive” into the meat of this prayer it has taken on a whole new meaning in my life.  I hope you will take the time to listen or download this prayer and that you will be blessed as you consider what the Lord was desiring for us when He taught us to pray in this manner.

Featured Series: Entering into God’s rest

Columbus Ohio is thriving as new businesses relocate to our area. One of the reasons for their relocation is the great work ethic the people of central Ohio have. In the secular world a good work ethic is positive. In the Kingdom of God a work ethic is not so positive. In this series of sermons about God’s grace we talk about entering into His rest. Rest does not mean inactivity. We are to rest from our labor to earn God’s favor, laboring to earn His blessings, and laboring to earn our Salvation. The popular definition of grace is God’s unmerited favor. Here in north Columbus at the Connection church we define God’s grace as His willingness to use His power on our behalf. I think you will be blessed in listening to these message series.
